This is a tribute to Ted, who was born in Manchester on 2nd September 1936. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
Married to Olwyn and Dad to Caroline and Joanne - Grandad to Jack, Sam, Ollie, Will and Louis and Brother to Geoff and Stan, we will never forget such a wonderful man who graced our lives with his wonderful nature, sole, determination and sense of humour. His wonderful character has passed down to us all leaving a lasting legacy which still shines brightly in our hearts today.
He tought us to be respectful and polite, to shake hands and answer the telephone correctly, chew our food slowly, ask to leave the table, polish our shoes properly, read books, to try our best, appreciate music, to appreciate camping and holding down a tent in a storm (when others sought a dry hotel), to try and enjoy sports and never giving up being an option (numerous swimming sessions and running at Sale Harriers in the cold), how a routine is good for you (getting up at the crack of dawn), mental arithmetic and no caluclators !, wine (especially home made) and definitely good food with good portion sizes and Saturday specials, appreciation of his family and friends and to have fun and to laugh - loudly!
